Shelf ready boxes
Ready-to-shelf boxes are the type of boxes you see on store shelves displaying multiple products for sale. Therefore, these boxes typically perform two functions: to bring your products into stores safely, and to display your products and brand attractively. This type of box can be customized to suit your product and packaging size, either as a one-piece transport and display case to reduce costs, or with a separate outer box. Golden Carton offers a number of ready-to-shelf packaging options that can be printed with product codes, logos, brand names, barcodes, and the box’s contents – making this type of packaging ideal for transport and display.

Archive boxes
Archival boxes are usually supplied as a separate box and lid, but can also be a single piece. This is because this type of box is designed to be stacked and stored for long periods of time. This type of box can be used to hold a wide variety of items, although it is most commonly used for document storage, self-storage, and other office uses. Archive boxes are generally made of single-walled cardboard, which means they are cost-effective – cheap to manufacture, but extremely strong when assembled. We already have tools available for a number of common sizes, depending on your organization’s needs.
- Box and lid (Fefco) 0300
The box and lid packaging in this style is presented flat, making it easy to store – and it also presents the contents in a very attractive way, once assembled. This type of packaging is manufactured with very little waste remaining, so production is very economical. The corners need to be glued, fastened, or sewn during assembly to keep everything in place. These boxes can be printed using up to two colors, depending on requirements – something that is extremely useful when marketing brand awareness.

Fefco Self-Cut Locking Boxes (0470)
Self-locking boxes are commonly used for shipping small items. These boxes are strong, quick to assemble, and easy to put together, and for these reasons they are used in the mail. They can be printed or produced unprinted in white, brown, or dotted laminated cardboard. These products are cost-effective, producing very little waste during manufacturing. The boxes arrive flat on a pallet or strapped into manageable bundles, depending on your specific requirements, making them easy to store.

Envelope Base (Fefco)
The base of this type of box has a closed envelope shape when assembled. The base’s design allows for quick assembly without the need for tape or glue – and it also has a fold-over lid that closes securely. We can modify this type of box in several ways based to your needs. We can add holes to make it “shelf-ready” for displaying your products, add a locking tab to help with closure, or even remove the top lid entirely to create a tabletop display unit.

Five-Panel Packaging (Fefco 0409)
The five-panel packaging is used for packaging long, narrow products. This box can be manufactured using single- or double-wall corrugated cardboard, depending on the level of protection you need. These boxes are supplied flat and will need to be glued during assembly. We can also provide this packaging with one or two-color printing if needed – great for promoting your product packaging. This product will need to be glued at the top and bottom, just like traditional cardboard, and the fifth panel will also need to be glued to seal the package.
-
Full Overlap (Fefco 0203)
This box is the same as the Fefco 0201 packing box listed below, but with lids that completely cover the base and top, creating a full overlap. This gives the cardboard box extra strength when assembled and is ideal for packing heavy products. We can produce this box with a number of different corrugated flute profiles to suit your specific needs. We can also print on these boxes. These boxes will arrive flat and strapped for easy storage. The boxes can be glued or sewn – to assemble the box, simply unfold it, close the lids, and then glue them.

Packing Box (Fefco 0201)
The packing box is an industry standard packaging case, the most common type of packaging, and can be manufactured to fit specific lengths. Packing wallets are used for packaging shallow items. The box itself arrives at your location flat. To assemble your product, place it in the center and fold the box around it. The package will then need to be taped or glued to secure it. We can also add cushions for added protection. Overlapping can be added to the lids to prevent damage to your product if the wallet is cut upon arrival at your customer’s location.
